An interactive theater show that brings dinosaurs to life on stage returns to Exeter next month. Dinosaur World Live comes to the Northcott Theater from June 24-26 and uses stunning puppets to stage remarkably realistic dinosaurs. Dinosaur World Live features a host of awesome prehistoric creatures, including every kid’s favorite flesh-eating giant Tyrannosaurus Rex, as well as a Giraffatitan, Microraptor, Segnosaurus and Triceratops.

The show features Miranda, daughter of paleontologists, who grew up surrounded by dinosaurs on a remote island off the coast of South America. She brought her prehistoric pals to your local theater and would like you to meet them. Warning: some of these dinosaurs are not as docile as they seem.

If you’re looking for fun things to do with kids, Dinosaur World Live delivers an entertaining and educational live performance that promises to delight the whole family. Each performance is followed by a post-show meet and greet where audience members have the opportunity to meet some of the dinosaurs in person. Dinosaur enthusiasts are urged to book quickly before tickets sell out.

Writer and director Derek Bond said: “Miranda grew up around dinosaurs on a remote island, she brought some of her friends and she would like you to meet them. It’s an inspiring 50 minute interactive dinosaur show giants. Our biggest is almost 10 meters long and it takes four people to puppete it.”

He said watching the dinosaurs come to life was the most exciting thing about working on the show: “There’s a moment in rehearsals where the puppeteers get it right, and this collection of metal, plastic and paint suddenly comes alive. in front of you. That, and seeing the reactions of the kids when they see the show.

“The public reaction is incredible,” he added. “When Titus emerges, the audience jumps out of their seats or hides under them. But when Miranda needs help to push Titus back from the stage, everyone joins in. It’s great to see children overcome their fear and roar fiercely at 10 yard long T-rex.

“It’s an inspiring show – it fires up the imagination and teaches you things you might not know about famous dinosaurs like the T-rex and the triceratops, but also introduces you to dinosaurs you don’t know about. maybe not heard of like microraptor and segnosaurus. I hope audiences will come out desperate to learn more about dinosaurs, and with their imaginations working on all cylinders. It’s also interactive, encouraging the whole audience to get involved.
