From Harper’s Ferry:
Martinsburg, you seem to be one of the few who understand Stiehm’s stories. She is given a bombastic speech that seems to be created from a delusional world in her headspace. In time, her January 6 story will evolve into how she saved the nation and dodged sniper fire as she guided Congress to safety. I certainly wish the Martinsburg Journal would move on to another columnist. My eyes can only roll so much.
From Martinsburg:
To Gerrardstown: In your Thursday submission, you referenced a story based on the Capitol Police Department’s timeline of the days around the 6/1/21 insurrection. This timeline reads: “General Walker advises . . . The DC National Guard could quickly reallocate 125 troops.” There is no mention of 20,000 or even 10,000 guards having been authorized. It just didn’t happen.
From Martinsburg:
While I wholeheartedly support the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, I have to say that with Maxine Watters at the top of the list, many of those protesting the decision make a very strong case for abortion. And the protester with the sign “Not being able to have an abortion can kill me” can be assured that having one will destroy a life. Alas, the jury would still be out on which life was more valuable.
From the town of Charles:
Those of you who are unaware of the governing document, which is the basis of our nation’s laws, please read the following. “The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are respectively reserved to the States or to the people. The Tenth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States of America. Abortion legislation is the responsibility of each state. It was never a constitutional right.
From the town of Charles:
So who are the protesters mad at, the Supreme Court for upholding the Constitution, or President Biden for gas prices so high they can’t attend their favorite pastime, protests? and potential riots.
From Hedgesville:
Pelosi rejected Banks and Jordan for the Jan. 6 inquiry for obvious reasons. It would have been as if Trump himself was on the committee. She accepted the other 3 GOP candidates. Both Banks and Jordan voted against certification of the election, which immediately rendered them prejudicial to the committee’s findings or recommendations, thereby diluting the integrity of the investigation. They would have been a disruptive element throughout the proceedings and would most likely have been in constant contact with Trump.
From Inwood:
Hey Charles Town, remember the time Trump walked up the stairs of Air Force One with the toilet paper stuck to his shoe. What’s wrong with using notes at a press conference. If the last president had done that, he wouldn’t have looked like a clumsy fool. At least Biden can still ride a bike. The only bike Trump could ride is a 3-wheeler with heavy-duty suspension and fat tires.
From Kearneysville:
Many thanks to former President Trump for appointing three true conservative justices to the Supreme Court of the United States. For those radicals founding in response to Roe’s overthrow – this decision does not ban abortion but rather returns that authority to the states. Democracy prevails as the founders wished.
From Hedgesville:
Abortion is not a law or a constitutional right. Abortion was not banned. States that committed infanticide are still allowed to do so. It’s the law that’s on the books of every state. Obviously, the Biden puppeteers don’t understand the constitution. They just want votes. Companies that want to pay for their employees to have abortions do so to save money. It costs much less for a long-term abortion.
From the town of Charles:
With Judge Thomas’ recent desire to “fix” previous rulings, I guess we can expect to shout “Fire.” in a crowded theater again.
From Martinsburg:
I guess people don’t realize there is no right to abortion. They just think they are allowed to murder another human. Yes, he is a human. What if your mother had chosen to abort you. Who are we to take another life. God will be the final judge. The sky will be full of babies but you may not be there to kill them.
From Berkeley County:
I was just wondering why Trump, if he wants to tell his side of things, why doesn’t he go before the Committee, so we can all watch him on TV and all his glorious glory. I know all the Republicans who removed him from office would be happy to see him on the Committee.
From Berkeley County:
Can someone please show me the rebuttable evidence of the massive and total voter fraud and irregularities that took place in the 2020 presidential election please show me the proof. God, what a bunch of liars.
From Shepherdtown:
As for these recent Roe V. Wade overthrows, the five Supreme Court justices who voted to overthrow Roe V. Wade are going to pay for the rest of their lives, they should be impeached.
From Martinsburg:
Fridays at five, this week has been terrible. The DJ was too loud, the music was extremely loud. The lady of the rope, she creaked and squealed. More diversity is needed when selecting music for Fridays at Five.
From the town of Charles:
Do any of these five people on the city council campaign on all this woke stuff they’re coming up with. If they can’t be recalled, the election can’t come soon enough.
