Discerning the truth in a glut of deception
Publisher, Register-Mail: We live in a world of lies and deceit and most of us sleep! We must not remain silent when the issues that matter most to us – the sanctity of life, traditional marriage, freedom of religion, freedom of speech, etc. are destroyed by naive and morally irresponsible people. Count it as a blessing if you are belittled for your values. If you can’t stand what you believe, you won’t have to worry about being persecuted. However, what impact will what you believe will have on someone?
What was once considered immoral is now accepted. What was once doomed is now celebrated. What was once celebrated is now doomed. What was once hidden is now open. Our world darkens as we turn away from the light. This darkness has nothing to do with climate change. This is evident from reading a few letters to this newspaper. I’m having so much fun I can barely read them! There are too many people wandering aimlessly in nature. They have all the answers, but they’re usually the wrong ones. They have their own idols, their gods, but they are not the true God. It’s hard to make sense of the fool. Miracles can happen! Those who are spiritually asleep can wake up!
The risk of being silent was pointed out by German pastor Martin Niemoller when he spent seven years in a NAZI concentration camp. “First they came for the socialists and I remained silent because I was not a socialist. Then they came for the trade unionists and I did not speak because I was not a trade unionist. Then they came for the Jews and I didn’t. speak because I was not a Jew. Then they came for me – and there was no one left to speak on my behalf. “It’s like trying to keep cats by trying to convince some people to speed down the wrong path with Biden and his left puppeteers in control. Independent thinkers, Republicans, conservatives and Christians need to confront the “awakened” liberals and defend our values and those of our country.
Side Note: Common sense is the sixth sense God has given us to keep us from making “woke up” fools of ourselves with the other five. – Thomas Mosher, Victoria
