Daphne Rubin-Vega & More to be Honored at TheaterWorksUSA Benefit
Join TheaterWorksUSA on Monday, April 25 (6:00-9:00 p.m.) for a one-night-only benefit at the beautiful Current at Chelsea Piers (Pier 59, Manhattan). The event will honor Bonnie Comley and Stewart F. Lane (Tony Award-winning founders of BroadwayHD), Daphne Rubin-Vega (Tony Award-nominated actor) and Tom Costanzo, and Schele Williams (director, writer) for their commitment to to expand access to the arts and to ensure that young people see their stories represented and their voices heard on stages and screens across the country.
Mix and mingle with TheaterWorksUSA performers, board members, and donors right on the Hudson River over drinks, hors d’oeuvres, and live entertainment, with dazzling city views to complement your evening. Entertainment, hosted by TWUSA Board Member Chuck Cooper, will be provided by some of Broadway’s brightest stars: Broadway Inspirational Voices, Josh Breckenridge, Todd Buonopane, Miguel Cervantes, Florencia Cuenca, Eden Espinosa, Mandy Gonzalez , Jose Llana, Jaime Lozano, Kate Wetherhead, under the musical direction of Isaac Harlan.
Tickets for the benefit start at $500 per person, with proceeds going to TheaterWorksUSA’s ongoing programs, which include the artistic development of new works and access to affordable theater for more than 2 million youth and families.
