BEIJING, Dec. 21 (APP): Famous Chinese calligraphers and painters exhibited their exquisite works of art at the China-Pakistan Traditional Art Exhibition held at the Pakistani Embassy on Tuesday. The exhibition, jointly organized by the Pakistani Embassy in Beijing and the Feng Jing Man Yuan Painting and Calligraphy Gallery, was part of the celebrations marking the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

The exhibition featured works of art by leading Chinese calligraphers and painters; Yuan Fao, Shule Tan, Yunguang Shao, Dimao Zhang, Guangyu Wang, Zaimin Tian, ​​Xueqin Cao Yuxuan Shangguan, Qing Zhao and Shenglin Lin.

Speaking on the occasion, Pakistani Ambassador to China Moin ul Haque stressed the importance of traditional arts and the role they play in promoting people-to-people and cultural exchanges.

He especially praised the style and rich imagination of the works of art and hoped that the artistic affinity between the two cultures would add another avenue to further solidify bilateral relations. Ambassador Moin pointed out that the fine and performing arts like painting, drama, music and literature are important factors in bringing the peoples of China and Pakistan closer together.

“More than 130 events have been organized to date and the majority of them were related to the field of culture, art, literature and painting,” he added. He also proposed the establishment of a Pakistan-China cultural corridor to further promote cultural and people-to-people exchanges between the two countries and expressed the hope that it would soon be put into practice.

Ambassador Moin also acknowledged Ms. Chao Sun’s efforts to conceive the idea of ​​an art exhibition and thanked her for organizing the event. Ms. Chao Sun expressed the pleasure of organizing the exhibition and said that the exhibition of traditional Chinese artwork and images is an effort to show the friendship of the Chinese people.

She hoped that artists from both countries would together create a new chapter of friendship and a bright future. The event brought together artists, calligraphers, media representatives and diplomats. At the end of the event, Ambassador Moin presented prizes and certificates to the participating artists.
